Sitter Shocked By Bag Of Gifts For Pup To Open While Mom's Gone - The Dodo

When Laura Blount accepted a pet-sitting job watching a dog while his mom was out of town for 10 days, she figured it would be just like any other job. When the job began, though, she was surprised to find that the dog came with a bag of labeled, pre-wrapped gifts.

Since she’d never sat for this particular dog before, Blount was a little confused — until she learned what they were for.

The dog’s mom had left him a bag of gifts, each one labeled with the day that he should open it. She’d left one for each day she was going to be gone. What’s more, the mom didn’t expect Blount to be the one to open the gifts, and instead meant for the dog to open them himself.

“I think he is very much used to receiving presents each day,” Blount told The Dodo. “The owner said it is his favorite thing to do.”

Intrigued, Blount gave the pup his first gift — and couldn’t stop laughing as he carefully opened it and unwrapped the toy inside.

The dog very much looked forward to opening his gifts each day, and it helped him pass the time while he waited for his mom to come back.

“He was always excited and knew I was about to be giving him another present with the hidden toy inside,” Blount said.

Blount posted a video of the dog opening his labeled presents on TikTok, and people couldn’t get enough of it.

“People have found it hysterical and adorable at the same time,” Blount said.

Clearly this present-loving pup is very spoiled — and very, very loved.
